The success of poultry farming in Côte d'Ivoire also attracts ill-intentioned individuals: fake chick sellers, impersonation of well-known hatcheries, payments diverted to personal accounts. Because ordering chicks is largely done via WhatsApp and mobile money, vigilance is essential. NEXTEKCI has formalised an anti-scam protocol: here it is, along with the reflexes to adopt regardless of your supplier.
Rule No. 1: only pay through official channels
At NEXTEKCI, only two numbers are valid:
- +225 05 44 83 27 79 — WhatsApp Information (technical questions, advice);
- +225 07 07 72 78 67 — WhatsApp Orders (reservation and confirmation).
No payment should ever go through unknown personal accounts. If a contact offers you "another number to pay faster", it is an immediate warning signal. In case of doubt about a number or an invoice, contact WhatsApp Info for verification before any payment.
Rule No. 2: understand the normal payment circuit
Knowing the legitimate process helps to spot anomalies. At NEXTEKCI, payment is made in advance and validates the scheduling: mobile money (Orange, MTN, Moov), cash at the Agnibilékrou depot or bank transfer as agreed. An advisor first confirms the breed, quantity (in boxes of 50 chicks), city, and the price of the day — then the order is confirmed by message or call. Receipts and confirmations are verifiable.
Any deviation from this pattern — pressure to pay within the hour, refusal to confirm in writing, abnormally low prices — should make you suspend the transaction.
Rule No. 3: for a first order, prefer in-person
The NEXTEKCI protocol recommends the first order in person in Agnibilékrou. The hatchery can be visited by appointment: transparency and proximity are part of the company's approach. Seeing the facilities, meeting the team, and leaving with the right contacts recorded is the best vaccination against fake sellers.
If travelling is impossible, start with a small volume and check each step: written confirmation, identification of the carrier, agreed drop-off point.
Rule No. 4: beware of miracle "home deliveries"
NEXTEKCI does not deliver to homes: the handover takes place at agreed points with the carrier (crossroads, station, village), on fixed routes, with departures every Monday and Thursday at 10 PM. A "seller" who promises immediate home delivery, on an unusual day, outside of any known route, does not follow the actual operation of the hatchery.
Rule No. 5: document the receipt
At the time of handover, make it a habit to document everything. In case of a problem at delivery, take photos and videos immediately and contact +225 05 44 83 27 79. NEXTEKCI connects you with known partner carriers and helps you find a solution when possible.
The security checklist before paying
- Is the number one of the two official numbers?
- Is the payment going to an official channel, never an unknown personal account?
- Do I have written confirmation (breed, quantity, city, price of the day)?
- Does the announced delivery day correspond to actual departures (Monday/Thursday 10 PM)?
- For a first significant order: can I go to Agnibilékrou?
A serious hatchery has nothing to hide: public numbers, clear processes, verifiable receipts, and open doors by appointment. This is the best antidote against scams — and the foundation of the trust that binds NEXTEKCI to its poultry farmers since 2006.
