Profitability calculatorbroilers and laying hens

How much does a farm of 200, 500 or 1,000 chickens earn? Choose your type of chicken, enter YOUR prices (chick, feed, sale) and your costs: the calculator estimates your costs, your sales and your profit. You can then download your estimate as a PDF.

Estimate for guidance only. Results depend on your prices, flock management, climate, flock health and the market: reality can be very different. The technical values suggested (feed, weight, laying, losses) are average benchmarks to adapt to your farm.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a farm of 500 broilers earn?

It depends mainly on the chick price, the feed price (about 70% of costs), mortality and your selling price. Enter your own prices in the calculator: it gives the estimated profit, the cost price per chicken and the minimum selling price to avoid a loss.

Are the results guaranteed?

No. It is an estimate: reality depends on flock management, climate, flock health and the market. The technical values suggested are average benchmarks you can change.

Where do the suggested feed quantities come from?

They are benchmarks for open-sided houses in hot climates, based on breeder guides and field experience. Adjust them to your feed and your past results.

Which breeds do these benchmarks match?

The reference breeds: Cobb 500, Ross 308 and Hubbard Efficiency Plus for white broilers; Hubbard Redbro and Hubbard JA for coloured broilers (red, barred grey, hybrid); ISA Brown and Novogen Brown for red layers. NEXTEKCI chicks follow the same growth and laying curves.

Where can I buy the chicks?

The NEXTEKCI hatchery in Agnibilékrou produces white broiler, coloured broiler (red, barred grey, hybrid) and red layer chicks, available throughout Côte d’Ivoire. Day price on WhatsApp at +225 07 07 72 78 67.
