Training others: explain simply, demonstrate, check that it is understood
An expert who cannot pass things on stays alone with his knowledge, and his farm only runs when he is there. Training a worker, a young technician or a neighbouring farmer has nothing to do with "telling him how to do it": most of the gestures done badly in a house were explained once, quickly, standing up, without demonstration or check. This lesson gives the method in four stages (explain, demonstrate, have them do it, check), the preparation of a 30-minute session, a complete example on the weekly weighing, and the way to know, three weeks later, whether the training held.
