Field exercise: formulate a grower feed with the raw materials available to you
Until now, the formulas were those of the course. This exercise has you write your own: a broiler grower feed, with the raw materials you can really buy around you, their values, your constraints, and a sheet-table to fill in in the notebook, step by step. A complete example is worked alongside, with rice bran because it is the most available and most deceptive raw material in Côte d'Ivoire; it also shows what you do when the first pass does not give the right energy. At the end, you will have a formula of your own, checked, and the way to test it on 100 kg before putting the flock on it.
