Case study: correct a formula that gives wet droppings and slow growth
A farmer settled between Agnibilékrou and Abengourou calls on the twenty-fourth day of his flock: "Since I started giving my own feed, the chickens have diarrhoea and they are not growing. The chicks must have been weak." He has his production sheet, his weighing notebook and his bags of raw materials: everything needed to investigate instead of guessing. This lesson conducts the investigation from start to finish, with the methods of the level: reread the formula nutrient by nutrient, find what explains the droppings and what explains the delay, rank the causes by their weight, write the corrected formula and the correction plan, then say what should have been done before. It is the model exercise of the level 11 exam.

This lesson is part of Level 11 — Making feed on the farm. It opens to registered students who have passed the level 10 exam. Levels 1 to 5 and the tracks remain readable by everyone.
- ✓Reconstruct a farm's formula and production conditions from its sheets, and check it nutrient by nutrient
- ✓Link each sign observed (loose droppings, wet litter, weight delay, thirst) to the nutrient or production defect that explains it
- ✓Rank the causes in order of weight with their evidence, and rule out those that explain nothing
- ✓Write the corrected formula, the dated correction plan and what should have been done before
