Do you dream of starting in poultry farming but your budget holds you back? The white cockerel may be your entry point. At NEXTEKCI, it is the breed specifically designed for new poultry farmers. Explanations.
What is a cockerel?
A cockerel is a male chick. At NEXTEKCI, the white cockerel is offered as an economical option: "NEXTEKCI quality at an accessible price for new poultry farmers," summarises the breed's information sheet. In practical terms, you can enter the profession of poultry farmer with a reduced initial investment on the chick.
The same starting quality as all breeds
An economical option does not mean lower quality. The white cockerel comes from the same hatchery in Agnibilékrou, with the same guarantees as the other breeds:
- selected breeders and manual sorting post-hatching;
- feeding from birth at the hatchery;
- transport in ventilated boxes of 50 chicks with complete lot identification;
- departures on Monday and Thursday at 10 PM, arrival the next morning according to your route;
- WhatsApp support for 72 hours after receipt.
Why it’s a good school
Starting with cockerels allows you to learn the trade in real conditions with limited financial risk:
- you learn management practices: heat, warm water, litter, density, observation;
- you test your organisation: daily availability, feed supply, water management;
- you discover your local market: where to sell, to whom, when;
- you build initial experience and cash flow for the next flock.
This is exactly the recommendation of the NEXTEKCI guide for beginners: the white cockerel for economy, or the hybrid for a balance of performance/rusticity.
The rules of the game remain the same
A cockerel is still a day-old chick: it does not regulate its temperature and requires the same fundamentals. Heated room before arrival, immediate warm water, starter feed, dry litter, and observation morning and evening. Savings are made on the price of the chick, never on management practices.
How to order?
Minimum 1 box (50 chicks) for collection in Agnibilékrou, 4 boxes (200) for delivery by carrier. Pre-order at least 15 days before departure.
