Poultry farming is developing strongly in the north of Côte d'Ivoire, and Korhogo is its nerve centre. NEXTEKCI serves the country on six national routes, including a northern route that covers Korhogo and its surroundings — Ferkessédougou, Boundiali, Tingréla. Here’s how a poultry farmer from the Poro region can receive their day-old chicks.
First step: validate feasibility on WhatsApp
For destinations far from the hatchery, the reflex is simple: first write to WhatsApp Infos (+225 05 44 83 27 79) indicating your exact town. The team checks feasibility according to the route and schedule, then proposes a suitable collection point — crossroads, bus station or another agreed location. This is the NEXTEKCI method for all towns: no home delivery, but a fixed point coordinated with the carrier.
The rhythm: two departures per week
Chick dispatches take place every Monday and Thursday from 10 PM from Agnibilékrou. The chicks travel at night in ventilated boxes of 50 chicks, with complete identification of the batch. For a journey to the north, advance pre-ordering is even more important: book at least 15 days before departure, and 3 to 4 weeks during peak demand periods. Transport costs are specified at the time of ordering according to the destination.
Which breeds for the northern climate?
The high temperatures and marked harmattan of the Korhogo region favour rustic breeds. The premium red broiler — the sought-after breed known as "Sasso" or "red chicken" — and the premium barred grey tolerate difficult conditions and semi-free-range farming well. The premium hybrid offers a balance between growth and hardiness. Farmers equipped with a well-ventilated poultry house can aim for the white broiler type Cobb 500 for short cycles. In case of doubt, the team offers free advice on every project.
Reservation and payment
The order is confirmed by payment in advance: mobile money (Orange, MTN, Moov), cash at the Agnibilékrou depot or bank transfer as agreed. Once the batch is received, the WhatsApp support remains active for 72 hours to assist with your start-up.
Farmers from Korhogo, Ferkessédougou or Boundiali: write to +225 07 07 72 78 67 to order, or to +225 05 44 83 27 79 to validate your collection point. NEXTEKCI organises the rest.
