Water: quality at source, analysis, treatment, wastewater
A chicken drinks almost twice what it eats. A flock of 6,000 finishing broilers swallows more than 2,000 litres a day: if that water carries microbes, the whole flock drinks them, three times an hour. Many farmers look at the water once, on the day of the borehole, and never again. This lesson teaches you to judge a source, to have the water analysed and read the result, to disinfect it without getting it wrong, to protect the water point, and not to discharge wash water where it comes back into the well.
