Field exercise: follow a chicken from catching to customer and note every loss
Until now, sale losses were percentages in a course. This exercise makes them appear on your own farm, with your scale and your notebook: twenty tagged chickens, weighed before the fast, at catching, on arrival, after slaughter, after the cold and up to the customer, and at each step the weight lost, the injured, the dead, the downgraded, in kilos and in percent. In one flock departure, you will know where your kilos disappear, and the sheet you have filled in will become your reference for all the following flocks.
