Cost price per kilo and per egg, item by item, with your own figures
Many farmers know their selling price per kilo and have no idea what that kilo cost them. So they know whether they collected money, not whether they made any. The cost price is the figure that turns a flock into a result: what each kilo of live chicken, or each egg, really cost to produce, all included. This lesson gives you the structure of the calculation, item by item, and the share each item usually weighs. The amounts themselves will be yours: those of your invoices, your region, your season.
