Comparing with the standard: read a target curve, calculate the gap, know whether it is serious
A weight of 720 g at 21 days: is it good or bad? Alone, the figure means nothing. Compared with a target of 800 g, it means "minus 10%", and minus 10% at three weeks means "act this week". The technician never judges a figure on its own: they place it next to a target curve, calculate the gap and decide, with a grid, whether the gap is normal, to be watched or serious. This lesson gives you the curve, the formula and the grid.
