Reading a feed label and an analysis sheet
The label sewn onto the bag is a contract: the manufacturer writes on it what he promises. The laboratory's analysis sheet says what is really there. Between the two there is sometimes a difference, and that difference is what explains a flock that lags. A technician who can read these two documents in five minutes no longer lets himself be told stories, neither by the bag nor by his own impressions.
