Cleaning, disinfection and downtime: the science behind the steps (products, contact time, order)
At level 2 you learned the steps of the downtime. Here you learn why they work, and why they so often fail: a disinfectant sprayed on a floor that is still dirty is money thrown away, a footbath in the sun no longer protects after a day, new litter laid on damp concrete recontaminates the next flock before it even arrives. Between two flocks you have one single chance to start from zero. This lesson gives you the order of operations, the product families without brand names, the contact times and the length of the downtime, with the reason for each figure.
