Rainy season: humidity, litter, moulds, walls and floor
When the rain comes, many farmers breathe out: it is less hot. But the chicken changes enemy. Humidity rises to 85 or 90%, the litter no longer dries, ammonia climbs, feed goes mouldy in the bags, rainwater runs into the house and the nights turn cool for the chicks. In Côte d’Ivoire, depending on the region, this lasts four to six months a year. This lesson teaches you to prepare the house before the rain and to manage it during.
